Cherry Wood Marble Mold - Cherrywood is the traditional material for glass blowers Mold. Soak wood in water completely. The molten glass will ride on a layer of steam making a low friction connection but the wood will char over time. The Cherry wood has a smoother action than graphite but will eventually burn up. Some people like using this marble mold without a handle. You can rotate the glass and rotate the mold for a faster motion. The wooden handle can be removed by sawing.
